Hey Frey! I just shipped one so I can tell you...Weight is 7.2 lbs. Tunnel width is 3 inches and capacity is just a tad over 2 1/2 gallons. I hope this info helps.

Wow Maxie! I was looking at your bike (Nice!) and remember the old peanut tanks from back in the day. I still have one of those mounted on an old roller. Not near that nice tho... :)

Re: Watch that breather vent!

Darrell, I'm glad the fix was a simple one. That scenario could cause one to pucker. If I may share a tip that someone here might be able to use regarding crankcase venting- I remove the standard vent fitting and drill it from the bottom all the way through the top. After re-installing the vent, tak...

Re: Mystery engine?????

Clarence, It is at 49.93mm now. It would probably clean up at 50.50mm. Contact me offline and we can visit, I need an early 94 pipe to finish the project I posted pics of. I probably won't ever do anything with this engine, I have too many projects now ;) If I have to be caught up to die, I'm gonna ...

Re: Mystery engine?????

IMG_1271.JPG IMG_1272.JPG IMG_1269.JPG Well, sorry to report it wasn't as exciting as I thought it could be. It's just a plain old 90 cylinder with an aluminum fin conversion. Appears that it lost a wrist pin clip and damaged the cylinder. Also the lower rod bearing was WORN OUT! I bet the rod had ...

Re: Epic fail....kinda

Ok, I'll have a little fun at my own expense. The legs are backwards...the axle plate should be on the short end. The swing arm will smack the frame if installed like its currently built. Everybody makes mistakes once in a while, right? Just glad I seen it before I finished it! Future c...

Mystery engine?????

IMG_1085.JPG Digging through some old engines and ran across this. The cases say its an Ace 90. Someone back in the day had some time on their hands and an idea in the back of their mind. I have not opened the engine up yet. Anybody wanna guess what we'll find? This is the stuff I love....and no, I...

While it's not a Super Rat, I used this same powdercoat finish on my Super Rats. RAL 3020 is the code.

Lets's see.....hmmm.....how about an RD 60 fuel tank, clip on handlebars, fiberglass seat/tail combo, rear set peg assemblies, downswept expansion chamber with quiet core silencer, of course the full compliment of required lights to be street legal. Just thinkin out loud........ ;)

Me thinks you have them backward....94 on left,93 on right. That or the photo is upside down :D However, that is a good useful illustration of the point you made. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Re: Dusting off a Wombat that has been sitting.

Very nice example of an original Wombat! I'd like to make a couple more suggestions as well. I would drain the transmission and refill it with fresh oil. Cheap 30 wt non detergent is just fine. I would zip tie/tape/rubber band the clutch lever closed to the handlebar. If the clutch plates are stuck,...

Re: Webco parts for Early Super Rat

Roger- this frame is missing the chain guard but I won't be needing one anyway because of the new swing arm. If I run across one I'll keep you in mind. I seem to have my best luck finding stuff when I'm not looking ;)

Re: Webco parts for Early Super Rat

Greg, this a 93A. I will be building a Swenco copy swing arm so the stock chain guard is of no interest to me. They are rare but a guy over on the Marketplace side had 4 bikes listed for 1000.00. One one them was listed as an Ace 100 but the pics showed a Model 93A complete with air box and chain gu...

Webco parts for Early Super Rat

No, I'm not selling any! I have been accumulating Webco parts for a few years with the intentions of building an early Super Rat utilizing as many Webco parts as I can source. So, here's what I have to start with... 93A Super Rat roller less chain guard (big surprise huh?) Engines to choose from.......

Re: Gear Set Identification

The reason I brought the name up is I went to the estate sale after his passing and bought a ton of old inventory. This gearset came out of one their old engines they used on their racebikes (according to the son). I guess its entirely possible you raced against this engine. Anyways, It's entirely p...
