I screwed a zert fitting into the speedo drive and give the drive a shot of grease a couple times a year. That seems to take care of things.

I tried cleaning my Hodaka tank with lug bolts and kerosene. Worked well in the past but this time it left a fair amount of rust granuals. Thinking I didn't buy the original formula. What product is recommended to clean this tank?

Looking for an exhaust pipe for a project bike. What is the difference between a model 96 and 99 exhausts? They have different part numbers.

I have been told that spark arrestor is rare. Picked up one a few years ago with the intent to riding my ace 90 on the Hodaka Days trail ride.

This is a question. Built a custom trials bike and the head was bored for a compression release. How do you tell the difference between a webco head and a hodaka head that was bored ( after the fact ) for a compression release?

I have a 72 Steen that I need to clean up. Looking at your exhaust pipe. Do the Steen pipes have a spark arrestor with the Forest Approved stamp on them?

I plan on installing a p series 100 engine. Thinking about using a set of Wombat forks with the 21 inch wheel. Hope to use the chrome 100 (a) one piece exhaust pipe that features the forest approved stamp on it. Would like an 18 inch rear tire. Not sure what will fit. Will post as the project develo...

Don't want to confuse the thread but Is the gas tank project changing the sl tank to the ed bolt on. I want to do just the opposite. I have a dent free sl tank. Will it bolt onto my thunderdog?

I use grinding compound. It sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. It is worth a try.

Looked around the shed for a project. Set my eyes on my 1962 Yamagouchi with a broken stock 50 cc motor. I have no idea where to get parts. My question is whether an ace 90 will bolt into a stock Yamagouchi frame?

I own a stock 03 Wombat. I am not definitely sure but I am thinking it was manufactured in 1976.

I have a 400 X 18 on my bike and would choose the tire size again.

My suggestion is a video of changing out a connecting rod.

I must have the close ratio gear set. My motor loads up easily on a trail ride. I then need to stop and let it clean out.

Jack - I have an ace 90 motor with a five speed in my Yamagouchi. I am not sure what dad did to accomplish it. I was led to believe the gears were thinner. I do know the combination turned it into a good trail bike. It is still running to this day.
