Re: Working on the Site Tonight

So the site was offline for a few hours on Sunday. My apologies. Digging under the hood on this contraption is kinda like adjusting a Hodaka shifter for a beginner. BUT - Progress is being made. The Existing forum has been successfully duplicated on a test server so we can do conversion testing. At ...

Straight vinegar down to 50:50

More vinegar, faster results.

Re: Rust treatment

I just fill with vinegar, or vinegar/water mix, and let it for 3-7 days. Seems to work faster if you cannot it in the sunshine (heat?) Nothing else. I usually use a standard pressure washer through the filler first to knockdown any scale, and again after the vinegar. Sometimes it has taken two appli...

Re: Rust treatment

Metal Ready is a similar product. Both are kind of expensive. I have had amazing luck using vinegar (Walmart) and water solution. Under $10 to clean a tank.

Re: Official Hodaka 'Workshop" manuals

On my Yamaha site, we have a collection of PDF scans of original factory manuals for most Yamaha models of interest to our members. Currently they are free downloads to members. Members have donated materials, I have purchased many for the site. Essentially doing what is mentioned above. These manua...

My site is http://www.yamaha-Enduros.con

It uses the same forum software we are looking at converting this forum to so we can integrate it better into the club site (single sign on and shared profiles.)

Re: Working on the Site Tonight

Gary! I’d be glad to volunteer for beta testing if you need someone. I am a retired IT professional and did beta testing often while I worked for NM State Police as a Network Admin & 3rd level support! Just let me know! :ugeek: Victor Thank you! I’ll make a note of that. The issue is less testi...

Re: Local Hodaka people in Western Washington

I am about an hour south of you in Longview, and there are some great folks up near Ethel, WA (just Southeast of Chehalis). Quite a few up in Seattle as well. Maybe I'll be able to figure out a way to incorporate a member map so folks can look and see who is around them. Works on my Yamaha forum and...

Re: Official Hodaka 'Workshop" manuals

One thing that many of you may not have run into, is that certain states (Washington is one) require a scale weight of a vehicle in order to get a valid Washington Title. Many states to not, so do not list it on their title paperwork. In order to get a title for my son's Combat Wombat which came wit...

Re: Working on the Site Tonight

So I am running some tests on a conversion tonight. Assuming the proof of concept works as designed, we will be moving forward towards the new forum setup! When I am ready to do this as a final move, we will again need to shut down the site for a bit. I will do my best to keep downtime as short as p...

Working on the Site Tonight

Site will look a bit different for a bit as I do some work in the back end.

You may not be able to post so please be patient with me. Hope to be done with this experiment in an hour or two.

Thanks. GBB

That is one pretty tank! Do you mind if the picture is re-posted to the Club Facebook Page? It is too pretty not to share!

Forum Page Reorganization

The Main Link to the site should now bring you to a slightly different look. It is part of some work I am doing on the site in preparation for conversion. Ultimately, there will be a number of forums in which to post and read and we will over time try to migrate various threads to a better location....

Re: Ace Sprocket Carrier, Accessory?

Man I would love to have at least a couple of those. My B+ could use it's street sprocket for the road ride, and then an easy swap to the trail sprocket for the bad rock.

If someone has one and can post up some good close up pics, with measurements, maybe it could be replicated?

Re: for sale section

If the old forum platforms aren't compatible then find a new one, start fresh , put in the safe guards the old ones didn't have. With the new technology available it would be the way to go. We are migrating to a new platform. That is the issue. Migrating the existing data without loss. We have had ...

Re: for sale section

This chat group is open to the public. There are no club plans to make it otherwise at this point. Merging the various software platforms the various entities have used over the years into a cohesive site has proven more challenging than originally thought. My apologies for the setbacks and delays. ...

Re: for sale section

I set Hodaka Classified up as a proof of concept for the club to evaluate. It is my own project but is usable for anyone who has Hodaka stuff for sale. It is still not used as much as i'd like, but as we move to the new club site, hopefully we will have a lot more options for the Hodaka Faithful. It...
