Re: Forum upgrade in process
OK - we have success on the site software upgrade. For the moment we will have this kinda ugly template up while we work on the other look and feel upgrades. Everything should function as normal. If you see any issues or experience any glitches, please shoot me a message at: makotosun1@gmail.com Tha...

Re: Forum upgrade in process
Gary. Can you bring back the envelopes to show threads with new unread entries? The new format makes it harder to distinguish new responses on an existing thread. Thx! :ugeek: Victor This blue theme is the base theme which we have to have active while doing the upgrade. Once completed and things ar...

Re: Mobile or Desktop on the Site
Thanks, Victor. I am not a programmer either :) My goal is to get the site upgraded to the newest software to upgrade our security for users and add some features. This thread is only about the look and feel. This template is not ideal for mobile, but it works ok. There are a lot of others that are ...

Mobile or Desktop on the Site
AS we upgrade the site, there are a variety of designs, some of which are more friendly to mobile devices than others. Leave a vote in the poll to give us some insight into your preferred method of using the site. Our design decisions will flow from the data . . . hodaka_ace_100.jpg Picture for atte...

Forum upgrade in process
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION - please read! We are in the process of doing an update to the board software over the next 48 hours. The site WILL appear different as we must revert to a base template to do this. The board may also be offline for a (Hopefully) brief time. It may also look a bit differen...

I can say the repair piece does work on the chrome tank Wombat cases. Still haven’t heard if production is planned.

Site Issues -
Your Webmaster is about ready to commit Seppuku. My sincere apology for the site being offline without notice this morning. It had to do with an oversight of administration which has been rectified. We are taking steps to minimize such issues going forward. seppukuS.jpg Makotosun Seppuku (Japanese: ...

Great.
I was able to get the problem solved. It was misadjustment of the points. However, this thread helped me eliminate a bunch of dead ends!
See you at HD19!

Re: Testing for no spark
Hey Dale - This little article is an amazing bit of help. Got me from pulling out all of my hair on a non sparking Wombat. Still sorting it out, but this got me past a real stumbling block. I hope you don't mind if I post this on my Yamaha site (with credit to you of course!) as the ignitions are al...

So Alex couldn’t leave the bike alone. . .
He dug through the parts pile and came up with everything but a chain. The motor is from his 68 Ace.
It will get a fender and some tires before HD 19!

Re: “Patina Rat”
Today we did some cleaning and sorting. Motor side covers will be used. Changed out rear non-working shocks for some working but rusty ones. Cleaned the front fork sliders. 45 year old tires still holding pressure after a week. This has possibilities. The fuel tank may even clean up inside! 220CF199...

Re: SAD NEWS, Hodaka Owner Registry goe,s away!!!!
I have made inquiry and there is a good possibility that we will be able to acquire and scan all of the editions of the newsletter which will then be available to members on the club site. No promises, but I am working with someone who has access to a full collection.
More details when I get them!

Shift pattern on the early 100’s is backwards (1 up, 4 down) but functionally will operate the transmission and bolt up. Lots more of them around, because folks like to convert the early pattern to the late One.

Re: Build Up A Parts Stash!
The larger problem is when you have several Marques you collect :) I’ve been collecting various Yamaha bits since 04, and only the Hodaka stuff since about 2007 when I first attended Hodaka Days. Now I have at least 8 carcasses and a pile of tanks, fenders and misc., most acquired in the process of ...

You can also find them at Lowe’s. Ive used similar on my Yamahas as well. Nice as they don’t leak and can be installed in any position.
NP4-6 is the generic model number. yuans/Genesis makes the best ones, but they cost more.
