when you say, remove and clean coils what exactly do you mean ? just the connections, and where the screws seats, or do you have something else in mind. im cleaning my magneto today as it was sitting in water also new points and condenser on the way. good timing asking this question right when i nee...

got the carb off and cleaned up used some GUNK carb cleaner in a one gal can has a little strainer in it to hold parts work very well. soaked for 2 days came out clean as a whistle. so clean i found the float has a pin hole in it from where the old gas hardened on the bottom of the float. any ideas ...

well i wont be taking apart but good to know. sat down with the shocks and took my time with very es cleaning tools , vinegar , steel wool, mystery oil,wire brush, and so on. then as the wife was not home went and scrubbed them in the sink with hot soapy water. they need some touch up but im happy w...

so powder coating the cylinder is out. its has a little rust in places so i will get it cleaned up. i work part time with a guy that builds barrel saunas and he paints he wood stoves him self with high temp black paint so i will throw some of that on the cylinder to clean it up a little. ok next que...

ok, rear wheel assembly is done on to the forks. took one off and took apart could not get the allen nut to come out of the bottom. had it all together when i tried used a impact driver would not come out. decided to leave together as i was looking for water or rust but the oil came out pretty clean...

my brother inlaw raced vintage bikes he would call all jacked up saying he finished 2nd . id ask him how many riders and he say 3 but one got disqualified , so there is a fun factor for sure

i was going to do a full restore but thats not realy for me. got to thinking i will get it cleaned up and put in good mechanical shape, it looks like i will be going through everything and thats what i like doing, as far as nuts and bolts most are in need of some help so as im going through the bike...

just thought id throw this out there to you that do rebuilds and see if you have any tips on staying organised. as im taking apart i clean as i go, like the fuel line took it off and cleaned the clips and put them in a zip lock bag labeled them as there labeled in the manual, same with air cleaner b...

just picked up" harry hears a hodaka" this morning when i got a service manual . the grand son needs to grow a couple of inches to ride, so looking forward to a cold winter so i can hibernate in the garage and stall him till spring
