Re: AHRMA Race Video

Laurie, Thanks for posting the video.
Does the Sachs share the same shift mechanism as the Hodaka and Zundapp? I have a 125 Rickman-Zundapp MX that has a similar mech as the Hodie. For trail riding shifts nice, and then when getting racey the same thing happens, neutrals everywhere.

That's about 75 miles from me. I can't see but two strokes, maybe the other two are in the shed.

I don't believe there is a Timken bearing with a 1.0" bore that will fit inside the Hodaka headstay. The bearing cups I made fit above and below the headstay tube.

Re: triple tree bearings

I turned up at set of bearing cups for my Dirt Squirt, used Timken style bearings with 1.0" bore. The triple clamp stem needs to be made longer. The adjustment is much easier, But, adds weight and increases the rake some. After all is said and done, haven't done the other Hodie's in the barn. T...

Re: AHRMA Vintage Road Racing, Millville, NJ

It was the same date last year.
I think last year was enough Mid Ohio for me. Where we were camping the water was 8" deep when we left Saturday morning.

Re: 175 to a 250

Mike,
Pipe looks better that it really is. Tried using my TIG, but ended up brazing most of the sections. I have a couple of damaged YZ 250 pipes but couldn't figure it out. I'll work on that next winter.

Re: Gotta get a new helmet, any tips?

Ed,
You might look at some of the Trials helmets. Some are very light (carbon) but expensive. I bought one made in Spain, beautiful and light , but the hardware was lousy.

I made up my pipe from the original ED pipe. Mike Perrett modified a Suzuki head to fit, so pipe fit better on left side. Used a 30mm carb to provide clearance. Bike is no racer but has lots of torque and its easy to ride.
