Re: Nylon nuts
You are correct, screws and wire. My retired brain and fingers made me do it. But please if you do rewire it, use the special tie wire that you can get at any Home Depot or Lowes, or good hardware or auto supply. All is good and I stand corrected. Good Luck with project. Happy Hodaken.

Re: Nylon nuts
Hello again, its not that the nylon nuts will cause more damage, its the question one must ask is it worth more than to use proper special stainless tie wire to make sure that issues probably will not happen, or take the chance if something fails and its all a costly repair to be done. Proper tie wi...

Re: Nylon nuts
Optional ways of locking things down on the clutch using nylon nuts, spec lock nuts, bailing wire and etc, ask yourself latter, how much did I save when all comes loose and tears things up or leaves you in the woods with a long walk home. Do as Ed suggest,s and do it the right way, it will save you ...

Re: Cabled Choke???
Victor I bet that the soaking in hot or boiling water for over 12hrs might work as suggested, pouring hot water on it does not allow water to soak into everything properly, Might help on outside rubber but this is stuck down inside a tube in carb. Soaking is better. Good Luck. takes time. Bruce

Re: Jetting reference?
Gary, I personally would recommend it only as a guide, there are too many variables, when you reach out the general population some of which have no former mechanical knowledge. I can see a 16years old person with little mechanical knowledge beyond only twisting the throttle, wanting to go faster, m...

Re: Jetting reference?
Gary, great idea, and good info sheets but be careful, when you get so many categories, it gets hard to read, Maybe break up into two sheets. Also don,t forget all models from ACE 90 on. Don,t lump groups or models together, it will confuse everyone whom follow,s lets say what is on Terry Larsons, s...

Re: Jetting reference?
Hello, Gary, that idea for a chart would be wonderful to have for each model, when you start your charts there should be one for each, not just what bikes you have in your garage or working on at the time. Also concerning jetting, be very careful to mention type of use of where and how the bike is g...

Mac, I would suspect that even a brand new never used NOS head should if one wants perfection of a sealing surface should be lapped in as well, I would bet that even a new head has some issues. I hope my thoughts are correct, if not, I am sure we will hear about it, I like Ed,s way of lapping, its d...
