et al,
If you are still getting the old image, more than likely, your browser cache is caching the headers for the Forum website. It will eventually clear and you should see the new image within a few hours. The image Gary posted above is the image you should see, eventually.

Re: Feedback on Template Please! COMPLETED
Gary, I believe you just need to edit the image that is used as the banner and add the image Dale is referring to and render it down into a single image. When completed, simply upload the file to the same location where the existing image is, (assuming it is saved under a different name), and change...

Re: Feedback on Template Please!
hodaka Forum Navigation.png PHPBB takes images and places them to span the entire width of the page where they are located unless you put boundaries on the image. The expanded space is transparent, but anything underneath it is not accessible, but still visible. The Banner needs to go somewhere else.

Re: Feedback on Template Please!
The Hodaka Club banner needs to move somewhere else. It's actually sitting "on top" of the navigation and search bar.

Re: Points/ condensers
I stopped at the Local Honda/Yamaha dealer and those part numbers are no longer available. Then I went to a another local ATV repair shop and found the sudco parts. Those part numbers look right. A couple/three issues with the points from sudco: 1. The points are "too tall". I had to remov...

No. it's the correct tank. It's clearly a small mouth and the earlier Ace 90's had white caps.

WOW ! mid - late 1965 and in great condition for it's age. That seat is what shocks me... That's original! You're missing the entire correct rear fender. couple more items I would consider minor are missing, otherwise it looks like it's all there. If you're not wild about restoring, just clean it up...

Re: Cylinder studs
This tool is made specifically for removing cylinder studs. How to use it will reveal itself when you get it in your hands. if this tool doesn't remove it... well, it WILL remove it or snap it off. At least then you can have it drilled out if it snaps off. As MTRat says, I got mine at Harbor Freight...

Re: Exhaust diameter questions......
Victor, Yes, it will fit. It will fit inside the exhaust manifold. Cut off only the flange though. You’ll want to leave as much of the pipe behind the flange as possible. I have a CW top end on my wombat and used a 94 pipe for awhile. The problem is that you will find the 94 pipe a bit restrictive. ...

Re: Need wiring and switches for Wombat and Ace 100
I can build the wire harnesses for you, with the correct connectors. I already have the Ace 100 harness ready. (The harness for the 69 Ace100 with the large headlight bucket is the same as the Ace 90). And as long as I have all the right color wires, I can build the Wombat harness (without turn sign...

Re: Carb cleaning tools!
I’ve seen many of those tank mounting bosses that are not drilled all the way through. If not drilled through the thread area is too narrow for a tap to be useful. Highly recommend just drilling the hole straight through. When I broke a tap in that same location, I used a punch and just punched it o...

2 weeks or so in an apple cider vinegar bath will do it. Vinegar is cheap and more environmentally friendly than phosphoric, sulfuric, and muriatic acids

Re: Another 1-down, 4 up shift case question
Matt, The “HODAKA” shift cover will fit any 5-speed transmission. It will not work on an Ace 90 because they are 4-speed transmissions. You could convert an Ace 90 to 5-speed with a little machining, and then you can use a 5-speed cover or covert the Ace 90 cover to a 5-speed, again with a little ma...

Re: Another 1-down, 4 up shift case question
Started with the Ace 100b+ I believe. Maybe as an option or standard. Not sure. 94/94A/95 Wombats and later for sure. All chrome tank super rats were 1 up 4 down. The 1down/4 up came available during the 93B and Ace100B+ run, for the Wombats so it’s possible some of them got the better shifter. All ...

Re: F prefix engine question
That is indeed an F code engine. Looks like a double strike to me. The F code engines were made to Model 93 specs, large cylinder deck, needle bearing bosses for BOTH the main and counter shaft. I had and sold an F code engine case 2 - 3 years ago. I was going to use it in my Super Rat rescue projec...

Yes! now isn't that the most beautiful pipe ya ever saw?!?! I think it's perfect because it's got just enough shine, but not too much either. And it stays black!

Re: Naval Jelly Before & After
When you repaint this, I would highly suggest a ceramic high-heat paint. You will like it. It gives a nice satin sheen that is very durable. I saw a couple pipes painted with a ceramic high heat paint at HD a couple years ago and they were beautiful. I re-painted my Model 94 pipe and it remains blac...

No, yellow is the output of 1 coil (~22w), green is the output of two coils (~45w). Hi/low is determined by the handlebar switch and nothing else. Green is the circuit that powers everything, but only when the key switch is in the 2nd position. There are so many variables that it’s really prohibitiv...

You'll need the chain guard with this cutout: Screen Shot 2019-03-07 at 9.21.48 AM.png The Ace 90 and Ace 100 chain guards were all basically the same with minor differences. The tail end was extended for the Ace 100, and a small cutout was added later so that the rear shocks would fit on the Ace 10...

They claim that they do not do dent repair. But It doesn’t hurt to ask. Those could be pulled out with a stud welder
