Re: Mike's Big Ride 2
Mike called about 9 pm. He fought 20 mph head winds across Illinois today. Electrical problems still prevail. He says he has spent enough time and money on it. He has a headlight, but no turn signals. He will use hand signals for the rest of the trip. He will try to get half way across Nebraska to a...

Re: Mike's Big Ride 2
From Mark Eichhorn: Met up with Mike in Valparaiso IN at fellow Hodakaholic Steve's shop. Went for breakfast, then did some maintenance on the 250. Battery testing was giving mixed results so Mike decided to try a new battery. He also found a bad connection to the rectifier, so we're hoping those tw...

Re: B+ seizure
I might have missed it, but what was the altitude difference between your home and the venue of the ride? My concern is if your mixture might be too lean. That would cause a condition that might cause seizer.

He will be having Breakfast with Mark Eichhorn in Valapariso this morning. Mike's battery died. They will try to get a new one, but is seems his charging coil is not functioning. This feeds the stop light and turn signals. Man, 40 year old electronics are a nightmare.

Re: Mike's Big Ride 2
Mike called in tonight. He did about 400 miles making it to Plymouth Indiana. He had a tail wind. No problems with the bike. He asked for info on hotels in the area. I found two that were about the same price. I mistakenly booked the wrong one. At least it was the cheaper one. Too late for a refund....

Arizona er, I mean Jack,
The plastic is on the opposite side of the photo and there is only the plastic, the decal and the paper on top which the decal should stay with when it lifted from the plastic. I tried warming it already. No luck.

Posted in February from Brian Z, To determine if your coil is okay, measure the resistance between the black and blue wires of the coil. The ohmeter should indicate low resistance (less than 10 ohms). Now measure from the spark plug cap to the frame. The ohmeter should measure somewhere in the thous...

Re: Some news on the horizon
Ha, Ha, HA! This bike came without a kill switch. Just a couple of loose wires that I had to make sure didn't touch each other or the engine would die. So I bought a cheap kill switch online. Before soldering up the wires, I did an ohm check of the switch. Good thing I did. It is backwards. ON is cl...

Re: First photo try ..... kick lever ....
I don't know what else to say except to try doing the case removal routine to get better indexing to get the spring relaxed to minimum.
On my WomAce with the 03 motor, I have this folding kicker. Works great. You shouldn't need a lot of rotation to start a properly tuned Hodaka.
