Re: Tiddler Rides -

OK - I finally found what I was looking for. The "Shop" is actually KlemmRacingEngines.com and they also have a Facebook page, Klemm Vintage Racing Engines. It's called the Route66 Tiddler Tour - if you search that you will get to a page that talks about the 2016 tour and I guess when they...

Re: Tiddler Rides -

It's on road but any legal bike 250cc or less. I don't remember if there is a "model year" rule but it is mostly if not all vintage and has bikes from 50cc on up. There seems to be tiddler - meaning "fewer CC's"- rides scattered across the US but this one - which I think is basic...

Thanks Kelly. I can't remember who sponsored it - something like KLM performance? I had the link but lost it.

Tiddler Rides -

Last year a couple of folks here were talking about a Tiddler Ride in Arizona - I think it might have been in April???. As I remember it was running through Oatman, Arizona and I think at least one person on a Hodaka made that ride. Anyone remember it? I had the link to it and the sponsor until my o...

Re: Soda Blaster

I answered myself - I did a search on Facebook and there are a lot of Vaporblasters spread out all over the place. I found a place in Tucson, Az which is @ the other end of the state from me but probably the closest and specializes in MC's. I started the email conversation - I'll how that works out....

Re: 100 racer

Why don't you get a Road Toad. It comes with a Wombat Frame, 18/21 tires and wheels, is a reed valve 100. You can strip off the parts you don't want and sell them or trade them and use any extra cash to trick out the engine porting to Super Rat specs if you want it to match and get a super rat head ...

reloading brass cleaner or sonic cleaner for parts

I know there was some discussion about cleaning small parts using a reloading style brass cleaner and/or ultra sonic cleaner for small parts, nuts bolts, carb parts etc. I think I remember that using the sonic wet cleaner turned aluminum dark or black? Any way I'm about to have a lot of smaller part...

Re: Brake Rod length

Yea - I looked there- I thought I saw one a day or so ago but if so it's gone now. I've got time and with all the other stuff I've got going now waiting to find one would probably be a good thing. I'd like another 1 1/2 inches though.

Thanks - LBM

Re: Brake Rod length

Great Thanks - that is right at 1 1/2" longer. So now to find a real 03 swingarm or just live with it which ever comes first.

Re: Brake Rod length

Thanks Victor. When you get a chance would you mind measuring the 03 swing arm. I just went out and measured the squirt brake rod and it is 18 1/2" then I pulled out the swing arm that was supposed to be an 03 arm and surprise - its about the same as the 02 so I got took on the first swing arm ...

Brake Rod length

Any one know the length of a 94A Wombat Brake rod #949106 and a 03 Wombat brake rod # 39106?. I have an 03 swing arm that I'm going to put on an 01 squirt which I believe is about 1 1/2" longer and I'm wondering if I have to have an 03 rod or if the 94A rod will work? :?:

Thanks LBM

Re: Wiring Question

Here's a thought. Blue is probably the ground and you can verify that by looking at the back of the light and the light mount. Some lights are rubber mounted so there is a seperate ground wire that can go back to the battery or to another good ground. Then one of the red or brown wires is the stop l...

Relocating Condenser Part Number

There is quite a bit of info on relocating the condenser from inside the mag to under the coil but it took awhile to come up with a part number to get the right condenser. I found it in one of Danny Cooks posts - Daiichi #617-027 and Honda # 30250-329-305. I couldn't find a source for the Daiichi # ...

Re: Hub vs Drum

Well that seems reasonable. Looking at it that way I wonder why they didn't include #23,24 & 25 the brake cam lever pin & washer, clip since the brake cam lever was included must've been a cost cutting measure. Certainly makes more sense the I could come up with! Thanks LBM

Hub vs Drum

OK - this is for all those folks who know Hodaka wheels and hubs, drums. I'm working over a 75 Dirt Squirt. I picked up a set of Road Toad rims and hubs 18"R/21"F. They are fairly decent but I did find quite a bit of chrome bubbling on the rims. When I got them it wasn't an issue and they ...

Re: NON OEM Gas Tanks

Thanks Victor - that would of worked and definitely a decent price. I did find a green one on Ebay for a road toad that looked pretty good and not much rust on the inside, price was about double but worth it so I punched the button. I then realized what it was going to cost to ship it so the total $...
