68 ACE shift problem

Stalled on my b+ problem. Only because it's time to spend money. My 68 has been tough to get into neutral and also sometimes when I shift into 1st it wants to go gack gack between 1st and 2nd like it can't find them. Once I'm in 1st it's fine. Do you you think this is a shifter alignment problem or ...

Wiring Question

Hello and Happy New year. I'm back at my project. Slow and steady. Had to borrow a torque wrench for my clutch side. I should of taken a pic it was a laughingly large 1/2 inch drive. The click was so inaudible I missed it the first time. Anyways I mounted the bottom end to start on wiring and mounti...

Re: Got some queries on my rebuild

Fair enough throw chain. I'm curious about the counter shaft sprocket though. I have a bunch of random ones and this fits but a little sloppy left and right, but not much.

Got some queries on my rebuild

So my maingear has a chip. Pictured. Should I replace or just use it? Also manual stated a 15t counter sprocket. Mine is 16t and a bit loose side to side. Pictured. Thoughts.

Ha. Thanks bullfrog, and yes Ed tried again with a mechanic friend sweat pouring from us, gave up at...

Re: Control shaft rebuild question

Thanks, I found the excerpt in the manual. Unfortunately with an hour on and off with my buddy trying to get the clip on, I surrendered. Just can't afford the tool right now. Hoping I can send the part to someone on here who has the tool. Any takers?

Control shaft rebuild question

I'm finally getting back to this rebuild after a long hiatus. I bought a control shaft spring kit a long time ago. So I'm not sure if it's "space age". I can tell you the pack is labeled left and right spring. Three clips, two washers the top and the ball receiver. I read and old post abou...

Re: Splitting my tank thread about threads

I've got a pretty old world attitude towards crafts. I repair and make vintage switchblades as a hobby. I filed it for awhile yesterday to no avail. I will try some more. I figured as much about shortening the spout. Wondered if anyone else has tried. Thanks all!

Splitting my tank thread about threads

So I've been trying to file these threads might be too marred. Before I concern myself with tank liners... Thoughts on grinding down the top, past the threads til I get to some fresh threads? Thoughts...
