Re: What The Heck….
Well, as it turns out I was having low blood sugar while putting the motor back together. I set the flywheel down and the magnets picked up some extra shims which stuck to the inside of the flywheel. They got bent up under the flywheel and jammed it up. Soon as I pulled the flywheel, I found them. N...

Yup. For sure. Lee told me to check that the woodruff key didn’t move and get stuck inside the flywheel. I think I used Yamabond on the key, I believe….but I guess we’ll find out…. Victor

What The Heck….
…is going on??? I took an Ace motor apart, to put new seals in it. Motor was running, albeit poorly, when I took it apart. Installed new seals, put it back together, and now something is locking it up. It’s turns only so far, then locks and won’t turn. It spun freely after putting the case screws in...

Re: Hodaka 250 Clutch (fiber) plate thickness
I just bought an entire bottom end rebuild kit for my 175SL. Same as the 250’s. If you call Terry, he can give you a part number for a 175/250 bottom end kit instead of ordering individual pieces. It’s only about $20 more than a 100/125 kit! Victor

Re: New 250 kick lever install…
I’m pretty sure if you talk to Terry he can tell you the diameter of the OEM kick shaft and probably tell you the number of splines. He also offers a replacement, extended kick shaft. So give Terry a Call at about 10 am Central Time, before he gets busy! His number is (314) 313-5635. Good luck! :uge...

Mike. Unfortunately, the ED250 was picked up February 6th. It left here & went to Hodaka Dave and John Aloi picked up the bike on March 15th from Dave and took it home to Kentucky. So I no longer have access to the bike to do the measurement for you. Sorry. Victor.

There is also a VM 24mm in the 93x Super Rats. It has a lever choke instead of the pull button choke. Make sure you get the carb correctly identified. Victor

Re: combat wombat barn find
Albert. I use a 3 way bullet connector at the ignition coil connection. 1 for the black wire from the stator, 2 for the condenser & 3 for the kill switch connection. 3 male bullets on everything which connects and a 3 way female bullet in the black wire from the ignition coil! Here’s a Super Rat...

Re: Color
Here’s what I use. Very close to the original! Not expensive either! Same color as the Rustoleum Safety Red but much easier to use. Second coats well with no crackling. Rub it with a 3M scuff pad on between coats! I still use a self etching primer under neath first. Victor

Re: Message For Ed Chesnut…
Well that’s what I thought. Yes, just about everything is useable in an 83B except the carb body and the needle jet tube from the 83A carb. So he has an 83B he will send me. Victor

Message For Ed Chesnut…
Hey Ed! I think I got a bad trade here. I traded a highly sought after Super Rat kill switch for a 94 Wombat carb. However, the needle jet has no shroud so it turns out I got sent a VM24 SH-83A not a 83B. Is this really just a paper weight? Can anything be done with it besides DO NOT USE IT? I’ve le...

Re: B+ Rear Fender Needed
Great news! Sorry I couldn’t help. All those rear fenders were all Wombat fenders. Really thought I had an Ace rear fender in the bunch! Once you get the tail light on, you won’t notice much of a difference. It would take a critical eye having experience with both to know the difference between a B ...

Are you talking about the neutral indicator light?
Here’s the path for the wire. The light green wire goes up from the shift cover into the main harness. Then it follows the light green wire to the indicator light.
