Re: New Member - 1974 Super Rat (98) Ran for 30 min and then NO SPARK . . .

Group, I found this 'Testing For No Spark' topic from 2019. https://hodakaforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3655&sid=3a1f7b6c67ffb2a686b95bfc5d803da6 It seems very useful and shows a 2 D-Cell battery device that you can use to help in the diagnosis. Plus I have two more questions using the Super Rat Wi...

Hodaka fans are so fortunate to have folks that have invested so much time, effort and money to make parts available for our machines! Terry and Bev, Paul, Greg, Jamie, Bruce, Scott come to mind immediately. Thanks to all of them!

Ya know, I stored that 2nd race bike for several years. Probably best that I didn't have a clue about this mod or I would have been tempted to take a peek at it!

Re: combat wombat barn find

Albert, Do you have a spacer that replaces the speedo drive or the actual speedo drive? If the latter, then I would completely disassemble it, clean it up and then pack it with waterproof grease.

Re: combat wombat barn find

For new options (not NOS) Cheng Shin C755 4.10-18 is a great choice. It is the narrowest 18in knobby that I have measured. I have not personally used these, but other possible options are: Dunlop K990 90/100-18 (Old pattern being remade with modern rubber) Dunlop MX33 90/100-18 (Slated to be availab...

6 cylinder fins vs 7? But at 20 paces, your eyesight is better than mine!

94A also went to a 3.50x18 rear tire, where the 94 came with a 3.00x18. Not sure, but that might have been when they changed from 423 chain to 428? Different aluminum cylinders for the 125: 1: Combat Wombat 2: Super Combat 3: 03 Wombat. Regarding chain size, I believe that the model 94 switched ove...

Probably not a Nigerian Police Bike! But someone may have painted it black by choice. Not unusual. Changing things to make it your own, includes paint! Bet there’s red underneath that black! The Model 92’s all were red, with 17” wheels front & rear and 27mm front forks like on the Ace 90, not o...

Speaking of condensers I replaced one on my 94 wombat and it runs a lot better. is it me or would a new condenser make it run much smoother, it's under the tank now ..... Perhaps the work of relocating the condenser eliminated a poor connection. Of course, a shorted condenser will kill the spark so...

Which poster has a Bee riding a hodaka ? such as Tule Tiger, or Red Baron . Was the 100B the name or the model number? My answer to the first question is the B+. I had the poster on my wall back in the day and the bike in the woodshed. Very fond memories of that B+. For the second question, my gues...

I haven't looked at the records, but there were several changes that came about with the B+ that provide a good idea. The B+ had a resettable odometer. It also had a 6 bolt cushioned hub as opposed to the 4 bolt non-cushioned hub on the B. The B+ all had a high front fender although, the later B's a...
