Crash - You've inspired me to get down an old Wombat frame and muck with it for racing. Any chance you can share closer pictures of your foot pegs? I'm interested in how you did those.
Thank
Jay

95 leaky crank shaft oil seal (left)
Hodaka Forum you're my only hope! Hi all - I did a 6psi leak down test and I've got a leaky crank shaft oil seal (left side). See attached picture. All other seals and spark plug are good. How should I fix this? Purchase new bottom end kit from Terry and hope that fixes it? I rebuilt the bottom end ...

Re: Electronic Ignitions
Hey Dale! Missed you at Boise this weekend. I will check my condenser to make sure it's in the correct range. I didn't install new points when I did change the condenser as I thought they looked good. Sounds like being cheap bit me in the butt again.

Re: Electronic Ignitions
Thanks Clarence. I just replaced my condenser with one I purchased from NAPA so that could be an issue. Electronic ignitions sound like a good alternative but I'm on the fence from pulling the trigger to purchase since they are pricey. Look to see if others think they are worth the money or not.

Electronic Ignitions
Hey everyone, I'm gathering info on electronic ignitions. I had a rough weekend on my 95 (Combat Wombat) pertaining to points. I had to clean them a couple times to get spark on a single day. I figure that I need to wire clean/replace my points, but a friend mentioned to go to electronic ignition......

Am I the dipstick because I can't read mine?
Probably because I'm getting older, but I have a heck of a time reading the dipsticks on my Hodakas. Clean oil on the silver sticks is almost invisible to me. I'm thinking about painting the end of the sticks a matte black but not sure such a good idea. Any ideas? Oh....and what's the best oil? :lol...

Re: Question on forum organization
Yes you are right Victor that we can use search. I was just mulling how a predefined tags could be used to put posts into buckets to filter on. A predefined tag like "Performance" could catch a post that talked about carb hacks that didn't have the actual word "Performance" in it...

Re: Question on forum organization
I do like that there is one big bucket for daily reading but I can see the benefit of different buckets for the people that pop in for help or if I want to read up on a certain topic like you mention "Performance". I'm not complaining because the search has worked for me over the years, bu...

Re: hodka factory name?
I cheated. The answer is in a brochure I have, "The Hodaka Story". Next time I'll try not to be a "party pooper" and hold my tongue. But......where do I pick up my Super Combat prize bike for having the right answer??

I would like to do this also. The article states "The stock spring and spacer should be replaced by a full length spring such as Webco 2128". Any recommendations on where to get a correct replacement spring?

Reason for speedometer bulbs burning out?
Hey Big Brains I'm looking for direction. I'm working on a 94 Wombat, added new Speedometer and high beam socket harness and new bulbs. When the bike is not running bulbs work fine. I then started up the bike and bulbs were working fine while warming up the bike. I rev'd the bike a couple times then...

Re: Is my coil good?
I also used AA batteries and it worked! I now know I have a bad coil and/or plug wire and cap. I pulled a different coil off a parts bike and I have spark.
