Well every story should have a happy ending.... Finishing touches today :D DS sticker put on. Pretty disappointed in this repro decal. It's way too big, bigger than the lid by a bit which meant cutting it into individual sections to sort of make it fit. Also doesn't have the "TM" lettering...

I got the official phone call on the Dirt Squirt the other day...
"You're good to go, take it back to the service centre and if there's any issues tell them to ring us" So it's going in first thing Monday. lol

Well I've gone further up the food chain to the Dept. of Infrastructure :D They are supportive of what i want to do and have put me in touch with some really helpful people. Had a Transport guy offer to (and done) come out and look at it...which was great. So now with sensible guys on the case thing...

I must admit to only pottering around the paddock for a very short time so far, so haven't really giving the gears a proper trial yet, but from that it seemed they may be slightly "awkward" . I'll see how things go when I get to give it a better trial

Went to do the first start up test today....fail :( The fuel tap I tried to rebuild in dribbling fuel when turned off, and once some fuel had run through it decided to seize up :roll: But the bigger problem is no spark, zilch, nada nothink.
