Re: Black frame 69

I think you have got a unique bike there. something great to have inherited, a piece of Hodaka history. I cant imagine there are too many original zero miles black aces like that out there. Probably belongs in a museum (in Athena the home of Hodakas!) you should get hold of a copy of the Hodaka book...

Re: Yikes on the Bad Rock Trail!

Wow
You have to feel sorry for the farmer. Thats 75 acres of prime Weston wheat he wont get a penny out of unless he has some crop insurance. I am sorry because its a bit off the Hodaka topic but would be interesting to know what yield per acre and when they will start harvesting there.

Re: Model 97 - Finally getting started

Hi Geary I love my super combat and pretty much use it as you want to(the old guy feeling young part) from my limited experience and reading I do feel they are pretty much pushing the limits of the 95 gear set. I think new bearings seals and rod kit with the improved 97 hardened gears and cushioned ...

Re: Motor choice

interesting question.A late model (alumiferric) Super rat engine would surely be the best. If comparing cast iron 100cc cylinders would think Super rat would have a more MX peakier high exhaust port type set up but only guessing.Look forward to people that know chiming in on this

Re: CW pistons for Super combat

Thanks Ed That makes sense. I might just have to wait till someone has one or maybe Paul will make another batch? Those big square windows look like the ones on the early De Havilland Comet. If I do modify the CW piston will drill smaller round ones I think. The bike is not being raced so some perfor...

CW pistons for Super combat

Thanks for the confirmation Ed
Will work with mild steel ,thats what I was hoping for. Hopefully I can stick weld to Hodaka standard! Must say all the welding I have seen on Hodaka frames seems pretty good.
