Re: Super Rat fork tubes

The Captain is right, check with Hodaka parts.com and see what Terry has. The models 97,98,99,01and 02 have the same part number for their fork tubes. Frank’s Forks was closed for a while when they moved but it looks like they’re back up and running when I looked at their website. As far as the quali...

Google Franks Forks and give them a call. I think they would have them or could make them. Might be worth a try ?

Re: Evolution of the Hodaka Ace 100B+

You really do nice work Max. The B+ is my favorite model, definitely would like to find the right one for a future project.
My current project on the bench is a trials bike and while not a Hodaka it does entertain and keep me in one of my favorite places.

Re: I've reluctantly entered the 21st century.

Congrats on the upgrade Matt. It’s something I haven’t done yet but know that I should. It seems when I pull this out that I get looks from passerby’s like I just stepped out of my Flintstone car lol.

I don’t know how to attach a link on this iPad thingy so here is a pic of a place that sounds like they might maybe be able to reline them. I might check with them for doing my ossa plonker front shoes.

Re: Hodaka 250 rear brake shoes

I know some of the guys in the U.K. that are on Trials Central have their old brake shoes re-lined up to the spec of their worn hubs. I don’t know if anyone does it here in the states but maybe an option.

Re: Liquid cooled Hodaka

Duh ! I just saw the M. Allen on the front of the bike in that last pic. I was too busy looking at the rest of the bike lol. I’m sure as well as the whole bike is crafted that the internals of the engine are set up very well for trials.

Liquid cooled Hodaka

I’ve seen pics of this bike many times when browsing the web. If I recall correctly the builders name is Mike Allen (?). Just curious if anyone has seen the bike in action and if the cooling idea works ? I have thought about using just a small fan to keep air moving over the head at a trials pace th...

I second JB weld. I’ve used it for the same type of repair About ten years ago and it’s still holding up. Cheap, easy and effective for a rider.

That turned out really nice ! I had an 02 kdx200 and it was an awesome bike, should have kept it. They pull down low real good and rip on the top.
